By the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy: SMEs Toba is declared to be of high quality, it have the potential to increase existing tourism on Lake Toba through the implementation of national and international class events, it can encourage creative economy in North Sumatra, especially in Medan to come together to make Lake Toba a world classdestination. Lake Toba can be locomotive for the creation of 1.1 million new jobs in 2022 and 4.4 million new and quality jobs in 2024.

Toba tourism has great potential to be a catalyst for economic revenue andincome for local SMEs.
