Binar Ciboerial Holds Road to Urban Village Event in Bandung: While Playing, We Learn!

Binar Ciboerial has held a Road To Urban Village event held at Taman Musik, Jalan Sumbawa No. 20, Sumur Bandung District, Bandung City. This event is one of a series of Urban Village activities.

Urban Village is an annual program organized by Telkom University Communication Science Study Program in Marketing Communication concentration. From Urban Village 2022 we are expected to be able to create an event that can campaign the potential that exists in the Saung Ciburial Tourism Village.

Therefore, we held a Campaign “While playing, we learn!” We intend to inform the superior potential of Saung Ciburial Tourism Village, namely the traditional game KABARULEM so that it can be recognized by the wider community.

Kabarulem or kaulinan barudak lembur is a game that packages various traditional children’s games. The types of games that we raise are Sasalimpetan, Lompat Tali, Enggrang Batok and Oray-Orayan.

Kabarulem campaign activities are targeted at 1000 (one thousand) children. For this first week we made collaborative efforts to several schools, including SDN 257 Pelita, SDN 001 Merdeka, and SDN Cipagalo.

Then, the implementation of the first day of our campaign activities began on Monday, November 14, 2022 at SDN 257 Pelita Bandung City and ended on Friday, December 02 at Sekolah Luar Biasa Negri Cicendo Bandung.

The campaign event that was held was lively, seen from the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the children in participating in a series of activities from start to finish. They participated in playing the games that we presented at each post such as Sasalimpetan, Oray-Orayan, Jump Rope and Enggrang Batok.

Not just playing, we also instilled new insights to them regarding the preservation of traditional Kabarulem games through the screening of animated videos. And at the end of the event as a form of appreciation, Binar Ciburial gave a gift and plaque to each school principal.

The purpose of holding this Kabarulem Campaign is to re-instill traditional values to children in the era of globalization so that they do not forget their own regional culture.

This campaign event will also continue to take place not only in the three schools yesterday but also in special schools, orphanages and several other schools.

Not to forget that this campaign event involves several media for event publication needs such as print media, online media, TV, and Radio. In addition, to be able to realize the best campaign strategy, we also involve several communities and local governments.

It is hoped that by the end of November the target audience for this kabarulem campaign event can reach 1000 children. This is a provision for Binar Ciburial in the Urban Village peak event to be named one of them as “Best Offline Campaign”.

In addition, Binar Ciburial also hopes that this Campaign will be useful and spread again by children after this Campaign is over, so that the Kabarulem culture will not stop even though this Campaign is over. Research
