MAKING A PORTABLE PRODUCT FOR MONITORING THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OF CITRUS PLANTS BASED ON IOT FOR THE PROSPEROUS SADULUR FARMER GROUP OF CIGUGURGIRANG VILLAGE RT 3 RW 12 PARONGPONG BANDUNG BARAT

Since 1994, citrus productivity has increased from only 10 tons per hectare to 30 tons per hectare in 2020, tripling in three decades. Indonesia is able to increase the export volume of kaffir lime fruit commodities up to three times.

To participate in supporting these government programs and targets for citrus commodities specifically empowering citrus farmers, community service was held with target partners of the Sadulur Makmur Farmer Group, in the Parongpong area of West Bandung Regency, which is a group or community or association formed for business fields such as agriculture and marketing of oranges and lemons, tourist spots, and derivative products in the form of lemon juice and lemon jam. The community service is by making and installing IOT-based monitoring products for environmental conditions in citrus plantations including pests and brief training on the use of these devices. This community service activity was carried out for 5 months starting from planning activities, preliminary surveys, preparation for implementation, training, training processes, preparation of final activity reports and seminars on activity results.

It is expected that with this community service activity, farmers will better understand the environmental or soil conditions of citrus plants and the environment in general. This will automatically increase the productivity and sustainability of citrus planting and will directly or indirectly increase the income of farmers and empower farmers.
